MODELING is one of a new family of Computer Integrated Manufacturing(CIM) products for automating the manufacturing process. This productfamily is a cohesive set of engineering and manufacturing solutionsdeveloped around a central database with relational and object-orientedcharacteristics.MODELING is a NURB-based 3-D modeler that utilizes form feature andparametric modeling techniques. The internal representation of the 3-Dmodeler takes advantage of an innovative Unified Parametric Geometry(UPG) Architecture.The software has a unique, efficient, stylish user interface that can becustomized by the user.Ruled and free-form surface options are provided as well as standardprimitive shapes.Design Modeling addresses a broad range of new and sophisticated productfeatures: mass property calculations, a complete 2-D sketcher, spatulaoperations, attribute tagging, and full associativity between 3-D design,2-D drafting, and CAM applications.
